Terry Rene Brown, age 61, of Mankato, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

Terry was born on February 18, 1964, in Waseca, Minnesota, to Leon and Mary (Enger) Linde. She graduated from Janesville High School in 1982. In October 1983, she married James (Jim) Brown, and together they welcomed two children, Serena and Tony. Though their paths later diverged, they remained connected through their love for their children.

In 2000, Terry met the love of her life, George Fields, and the two began a new chapter together. Their bond was strong, and in 2010, George proposed during a trip to Clearwater, Florida. They shared 20 wonderful years filled with laughter, love, and companionship until George’s passing in 2020.

Family was the heart of Terry’s world. She rarely missed a family gathering, always showing up with a warm smile and a helping hand. She found joy in simple pleasures—canning, baking, cooking, crafting, camping, fishing, and relaxing on sunny afternoons while visiting with family.  Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and joy.

Terry will be remembered as a sweet, caring, and loving woman whose presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Serena (Ray) Sorensen of Wells, MN, and Tony (Krista) Brown of Grafton, WI; step-daughter, Shannon Fields of Aston, PA, and step-son, George (Sophia) Fields Jr. IV,  of Aston, PA; her cherished grandchildren, Hayden, Connor, and Olivia Sorensen and Lillyanna Fields ; her mother, Mary  Linde; and her siblings, Wanda (Ralph) Mitchell, Bonny (Brian) Bemis, and Lori (Dean) Nikoley. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Terry was preceded in death by her father, Leon Linde, and her fiancé, George Fields Jr. III.

In keeping with her wishes, Terry will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor and remember the beautiful life she lived.
