I miss Terry's presence at our VA. I was always comforted hearing his voice making many urgent announcements. He was great at his job. As a nurse, I worked closely with him on several calls to assure safety for our veterans. He was always professional and so concerned! As a friend, I knew he was very spiritual and how much he adored and missed his family, I knew he wanted to be cared for in our CLC and am so grateful the staff was able to provide the peace and respect he needed during his finals days. I love you Terry and I always will!

I pray you are walking with the hand of god and all you love.
I never meet you, I wish I had.

I only found out about Terry's passing a couple days ago & am saddened to say I won't be able to attend his memorial service. I worked with Terry for many years at PPIC in the Customer Call Center. He, two others & I shared a "quad pod" & the four of us were pretty good buds. Terry acquired the nickname "Sugar Bear" from our pod mate Glenn, who has also left us too soon. Terry - you were always a sweetheart of a guy. Enjoy your reunion with Glenn. RIP my friend. You will be missed by many!!
I am out of state and unable to attend the celebration. I pass on my condolences to Terry’s family and friends. I always enjoyed talking to Terry because he was always smiling and upbeat. I will miss him.

I will always remember Terry for his captivating smile. He knew how to live life and and passed on his positivity to others. May you find peace in Heaven, Terry. I'm sure you are finally with the loved ones you lost far to early in life, like we have lost you far too early as well.
Still in disbelief that he has passed, will miss his advice, conversations and visits. The most loving, generous and caring man I ever met. He is now back with his family that he truly missed. Heaven has a new guardian angel.
Terry had a big heart. He was funny. When he was at Physicians Plus he would ask me to adopt him. He will be missed.
It's hard for me to find the right words. I always meant to come home again and visit with him more, and I just never set a date. We'd known eachother for over 25 years, and looking back, it still wasn't enough time. I'll always regret that I don't have more recent memories with him, but I'll never forget the ones we already shared and I'll cherish them always. This world is again without one of its' best and brightest souls. Rest comfortably with your family and friends, we'll see you again soon enough. With love, Carl
I worked with Terry for many years. He was a kind funny person. We would insult each other in good fun. He had some good ones. He used to tell me if "jerks could fly I'd be a 747"... RIP Terry, I'm glad you're reunited with your family you so dearly missed.

Terry and I met while my husband Nick and his roommate Greg were scuba diving. I was a diver also but didn’t dive like they did. I was the secretary for Rockford Divers Assoc. we would talk all the time about the good, bad and everything. When we would go to St. Clair River we would sit talk and wait for the divers to come out of the water and help them. We were just there together. Terry would flirt and say he would like to put his shoes under my bed. Nick would say you can’t afford her Terry. Every weekend we would be doing something together. Going to Lake Geneva watching them dive in the ice. Going out to dinner. Later on we would text and say we needed to meet. I invited him all the time for Christmas and to stay with me. He was always working. I am so sorry that we didn’t get to meet before he passed away. I did not know he was sick. Of course he wouldn’t tell me. I would of drove up there just to sit with him and share our memories. I will miss him forever. He was a great person.
Rip Terry, Thank You for being such a great person, and outstanding Co-worker. I learned a lot from your Leadership, and Dedication to our Nations Veterans. Until we meet again Thoughts and Prayers are with you.

Talk about a kind heart and dedicated employee, Terry helped me do my job by ensuring practices were being followed and no one was going to circumvent the process if he had anything to do with it. He worked 24/7 to ensure Veterans were taken care of. He became my friend. Affectionately, my husband and I called him Yoda, per his wishes. As the recipient of the 2016-2017 Spirit of Jesse Brown award, I posthumously dedicate it to him. Without his unwavering support I could absolutely not have done it without him. He was an employees, employee. Thank you Yoda. Well done!
