Terrie Lynn Jones, nee Brown, was a loving mother and wife with a zest for life matched by few. She left this world in the early morning hours on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Dallas after battling cancer for several years. She was 64 years old. As a respiratory therapist and nurse at Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation, Terrie was always caring for everyone around her, even beyond the call of duty. Born and raised in Dallas, Terrie attended Stonewall Jackson Elementary, JL Long Middle School, Woodrow Wilson High School and El Centro College. She is remembered as the life of the party with a smile that could light up the room. Terrie loved to travel and share tasty meals with her loved ones - she had a particular affinity for cinnamon twist donuts. When she wasn't in her garden tending to her plants, she was known to take a shopping trip or two, but one thing is for sure she was always on the move. Terrie is survived by her daughter, Ashley Grace, her husband, Jimmy Jones, and her brother, John Brown, Jr. As in life, Terrie continues to help by choosing to have her body donated to UT Southwestern Medical Center. The family is holding a private celebration of life on Saturday, February 12, 2022 and charitable donations may be made to the Cancer Research Foundation.
