Terrie's obituary
Terrie Barrett, 50, died unexpectedly Friday, December 7, 2018. Terrie was born in New York on January 10, 1968. Terrie was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Barrett. Terrie retired from hairdressing to become an exceptional full-time mother. She spent her time raising three beautiful children, caring for her husband, and serving her community. Terrie was very active in her children's lives. Every holiday, birthday, sporting event, school dance, and milestone in their lives, Terrie was present and full of support. Anybody who entered her life, became a new person for her to love and care for. Her love was unconditional, and she always gave everyone the benefit of the doubt. Terrie was an advocate for childhood cancer and a member of United in Grace, a childhood cancer organization, where she raised funds, awareness, and support for those who were suffereing. She devoted her time to helping anyone in need. Terrie was loving, caring, and selfless. She loved spending time with all of her family more than anything, including her fur babies, Amy and Dude. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, music, cookouts, all of the New England sports teams just like her husband, and most of all, laughing. She was presently living in Georgia with her sister-in-law, Lori Faulkner, and her fur babies. Terrie will forever be loved by those she has left behind. She is survived by her children, Gerald D. Barrett, Stephanie M. Barrett, and Jenna D. Barrett; her mother and father, Mary Winfield and Larry Winfield; sisters, Tina Keyser and Tammie Yetto; her niece and nephew, Elizabeth Winfield and Tristan Keyser; her grandchildren, Alexander, Scarlett, Freya, and Brady; and many friends. We will all miss the love and support she brought into our lives. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
