Obituary for Terri Howell
Terri Lyn Howell (2/2/1963-7/4/2023)
Terri Howell was born on February 2, 1963, in Monterey Park, California. The second of five children to Warren and Marilyn Howell. Terri loved the Lord and had a love for the natural environment. She was dedicated to rescuing and caring for animals, both domestic and wild.
As a child, Terri was inspired to learn American Sign Language after reading the book Helen Keller. She practiced the alphabet diligently. This and her acquired a passion for human services, led her to master the art of American Sign Language. This led to her lifelong career interpreting for the deaf. Terri was often known to sign along, interpreting casual conversations with family and friends to sharpen her skills to better serve members of the deaf community.
Terri is survived by 4 siblings and 9 nieces and nephews. Per her wishes, services will be a small and informal outdoor gathering in the mountains she loved,
