Terrence "Terry" James Murphy, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 24, 2025, in Cleveland Ohio, the city where he was born and spent much of his life.

Born September 4, 1943 in Cleveland, to Harry and Agnes (Quail) Murphy. Terry's life was marked with dedication to his family, his education and his work. He graduated Gilmour Academy, before pursuing higher education at the University of Notre Dame.His academic journey continued with a master's degree from John Carroll University.

He held a profound respect for his former wife, Carol Hannafey, who remained a cherished presence in his later years. He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Katherine (Phil) Van Dyke; stepdaughter Laura Bishop; stepson Bret (Jill) Tomford; and children Ryan (Jenny) Murphy, Sean Murphy, Casey Murphy and Karey (Jeffrey) Geisinger. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Indigo, Chris, Zachary, Ethan, Zoë, Emma, Steven, Seamus, Michael, Marigold, Henry, John and Alice.

A memorial will be held in Cleveland to remember Terry's life and memory.
