My deepest condolences to Terry's family. I first met Terry when I first joined Oakland University as a mechanical engineering faculty member in 2000. His office was right across from mine in Dodge Hall, so I felt extra special as I didn't even need to leave my office whenever I had a computer question. All I had to do was roll my chair towards my office door opening and holler "Hey Terry, I have a question!" He was such a congenial and helpful guy and always had a big smile. Later, after my son was born, I brought him to my office with me several times over the years. He loved to hang out with Terry who would always come up with a fun activity for him to do. Terry was so proud of his daughters and always gushed about his grand-daughter, Giada. Once we moved to the Engineering Center, I missed having him right next door, but still made it a point to stop by his office regularly to say hello. I was heartbroken to learn about his battle with cancer and then of his passing. I will always remember his friendly demeanor and big smile. Rest in peace my dear friend! You will be greatly missed.

Spent 28 years at OU with Terry - a great colleague and wonderful person. Would stop by his office for some reason, and end up spending a 1/2 hour talking while he was working on something.

Terry was a wonderful IT colleague and learning of his passing took my breath away. Terry was kind and devoted. He was generous, always offering a snack or a coffee to come down for a visit in his office. At his retirement party, I was honored to share a few words to reflect on his outstanding career and his friendship as "T2".....Terry, too, Terry2!
He left a beautiful legacy and will always be remembered fondly by those of us who worked closely with him.

I'm so sorry to hear of Terry's passing. For a long time, my office was across the hall from Terry and we talked about many things. He was a really nice guy and a warm human being and always took care of me when I needed something.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Terry. Over the past 20+ years, he was not only an incredible IT support professional who kept our technology running smoothly but also a kind and thoughtful person who went above and beyond in everything he did.
I will always cherish the way he brought joy to my family, especially my children. His generosity in gifting STEM-related toys and taking the time to play with them left a lasting impression on us all. He truly had a remarkable way of connecting with people and making them feel special.
His kindness, professionalism, and warmth will be deeply missed. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
With heartfelt condolences,
Huirong
