Teri LaRae Eastman, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on June 29, 2020 at the age of 72 in Cumming, GA.

Teri was born on March 6, 1948 in Phoenix, AZ where her father was a diesel mechanic and truck driver, and her mother was a homemaker. Teri was the oldest of 4 children and was a wonderful big sister to her siblings. After being raised by a loving family in Phoenix and graduating from Washington High School, Teri moved to Provo, UT to attend Brigham Young University, where she met her future husband, Larry Eastman.

Teri and Larry married in the Mesa, AZ LDS Temple on March 1, 1968. They lived in Utah for the first few years of marriage. They had two baby boys, Greg and Jeff, born only thirteen months apart, before moving to Michigan, where Larry was serving in the Air Force. While in Michigan, they welcomed their third baby boy, Rick. After a short time in Michigan, they moved to Phoenix, AZ where Larry became a firefighter and Teri continued her work as a homemaker. While in Phoenix, a fourth baby boy was born, Chad. A year later, the family moved to Lakeside, AZ so Larry could start a business building log homes. A few years later, Teri gave birth to her fifth baby boy, Clint. Finally, two years later, they welcomed their first baby girl, Amber. They lived a few more years in Arizona and then Larry took a job in Dallas, TX. A couple years after moving to Texas, Teri gave birth to her seventh and final child, another baby girl, Lori. Lori couldn’t wait to join the family and Larry was forced to pull to the side of the road only a mile from the hospital for Teri to deliver her!

The family stayed in Texas for many years, until the boys graduated from high school and went off to college in Utah and Idaho, and on LDS missions around the world. Teri would later return to Utah with her two daughters so they could be closer to family. After her daughters graduated from high school and moved off to college, Teri was able to spend time with each of her kids and grandkids in their various hometowns across the country.

After the death of her youngest son Clint in 2018, Teri moved to Georgia where she spent the last two years of her life with her daughter Amber and her children.

Teri was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Her example of kindness, selflessness, loyalty and faith in God are a gift to all of us. Her down-to-earth personality was contagious, and she was like a second mom to many of our friends, who all felt her love and kindness as much as we did. Her favorite thing was finding a creek, lake or beach to put her feet in the water and just relax. Such a simple thing, but mom enjoyed the simpler things in life. We love you and will miss you, mom!

Teri is survived by her children Greg, Jeff (Julie), Rick, Chad (Kimberly), Amber Wardell, Lori Frost (Allen), daughter-in-law Kimberley (wife of Clint), 22 grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, brothers Larry Watkins and Mark Watkins (Cindy), and sister Tami Townsend (Doug).

Teri is preceded in death by her son Clint, sister-in-law Debbie Watkins (wife of Larry Watkins), father Lorum ‘Russ’ Watkins and mother Geraldine ‘Jet’ Watkins.
