Teresa's obituary
Teresa Marie “Tree” Weatherly-Mollett
August 27, 1967 – June 20, 2025
Teresa Marie “Tree” Weatherly-Mollett, 57, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, at Baptist Health Floyd, with her beloved husband by her side.
Born August 27, 1967, to James Edward and Dorothy Marie (Snyder) Weatherly, Teresa was a lifelong resident of New Albany. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, caring sister, and cherished aunt whose warmth and creativity touched everyone she met.
Teresa had a deep love for crafting, found joy in simple moments with her family, and treasured watching her children grow. Her generous spirit, sense of humor, and strength left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She was affectionately known as “Tree” by those closest to her — a nickname that perfectly reflected her nurturing, grounded nature.
She is survived by her loving husband, Adam Mollett, and her three sons: David White, Charles Nathan White III, and Dylan Weatherly, all of New Albany, IN. She also leaves behind her siblings: Carla (Mike) Clements of Jeffersonville, IN; Sherry (Jim) Jordan of Louisville, KY; Lawrence (Tink) Weatherly of Georgia; and Jim Weatherly of Richmond, IN.
Teresa was a beloved aunt to Cherilyn (Dennis) Tucker of Hardinsburg, KY; Samantha (Joe) Wilson of Salem, IN; Chad (Kelli) Smith of Milltown, IN; Charles Smith II of IN; Terra Smith of Corydon, IN; Zak Jordan of Louisville, KY; and Makayla (Christopher) Berk of Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Weatherly, and her sisters, Marla Longnecker and Darla Webb.
In accordance with her wishes, Teresa chose cremation and requested a celebration of life in place of a traditional funeral — a time for family and friends to gather in remembrance, not mourning, and to honor her life with love, laughter, and shared stories.
True to her giving nature, Teresa was an organ donor. Through this final act of generosity, she gave the gift of life to others and continues to make a difference in the world even after her passing.
Her memory lives on in the hearts of all who loved her.
