Teresa "Teri"'s obituary
Teresa "Teri" Marie Szostak (nee Ramirez) passed away July 14, 2023 at the age of 61 after a battle with ALS.
Teri was born in Sacramento, CA to Sunny and Joe Ramirez. She began working in modeling from a young age and transitioned into retail in her teens. In her 20's, she landed a job at coveted retailer, Mervyns. During this time, she met Ed as he was walking through the store during his lunch break.
After a move to Los Angeles with Ed, she worked as an insurance agent at AAA. During their 10 years in LA, they enjoyed countless day trips to Santa Barbara and many great meals at their favorite Mexican Restaurant. Her and Ed married in 1988 in Teri's hometown of Sacramento and went on to have 2 children, Allie and Blake.
After kids, Teri transitioned to dedicating her life to being a devoted and fantastic stay at home mom. Supporting the family through multiple moves from California to Colorado and then to New Jersey. Teri excelled at everything motherhood including being the Girl Scout's Troop leader, Parent Chaperone on field trips spanning multiple school systems, and attending every dance recital, cheerleading and cross country practice. Even allowing band practice every day after school in the basement. She was the foundation of the family in every way never missing a special date, and supporting Allie and Blake while pursing their dreams at Penn State. She was their constant cheerleader and supporter.
Teri went back to work in administration and eventually pursued her love of working with people in retail as the Store Manager at Nordstrom Rack. When she wasn't filling her home with home cooked meals and love, she could be found at Jazzercise or volunteering at the Church Thrift store.
Teri was predeceased by her Parents, Pandora "Sunny" and Joe, and her Brother Ricky. She is survived by her husband Ed, and her children Allie (Pat) and Blake.
