Tena's obituary
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Mrs. Tena Yakabush, a beloved mother, sister, daughter, and a proud Marine, on July 3, 2023. Born on October 10, 1964, Tena showed an unwavering spirit of resilience and compassion throughout her life that deeply touched all who knew her.
Tena is survived by her loving family, including her mother, Laura Sinclair; step-father, Roger Sinclair; sisters, Shyanne Yakabush and Crystal Horan; daughter, Franny Yakabush, and son, Roger-Lee Yakabush. Her absence leaves a void in their lives that can never be filled.
In 1983, Tena enlisted in the United States Marines, an experience she cherished and one that shaped much of her future life. Throughout her years of service, Tena displayed an indomitable spirit and a strong sense of duty that earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
A vivacious and dynamic woman, Tena loved reading and running in her free time. An avid runner and yoga enthusiast, she believed in leading a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Her bubbly, warm, and witty persona left an indelible impression on people around her, grasping the heart and soul of those she encountered.
Tena cared deeply about her children, dedicating her life to ensure their well-being and happiness. Her favorite saying was "Never judge a book by its cover", a mantra she lived by and instilled in her children. As a loving mother, she considered raising her children her greatest attribute.
Tena Yakabush's legacy is one of kindness and greatness. The lessons, love, and memories she shared will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her life will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know her. Rest in peace, Tena, you will be deeply missed.
