Carol & Marsha:
Words can't express how sorry I am for your great loss. Please know how special Tasiana was to me, and to all that were lucky enough to call her a friend.
I met Tasiana at WeWork in 2019 and we became fast friends. Her welcoming heart, zest for life (and living it well!), and supportive nature made her a dear and treasured friend.
Tasiana was a trusted friend and advisor. She listened when you were in need, she cheered you on when you didn't have the strength to go on. Tasiana was wise beyond her years. She was a true voice of reason so often for me. Although our time crossing paths was short - it does not diminish the impact she had on my life.
She believed her friends were capable of anything they put their minds to - and I hope to bottle up that faith she had in me, and take it with me wherever I go. I will miss her support, and I am sad to think of all the stories I wanted to tell her and didn't get to, and all of the ones I have yet to experience that I won't get to share with her.
I learned so much from Tasiana, especially the way she lived her life - so authentically and with intention. Tasiana encouraged me to treat myself to the things I enjoy - indulge in the fancier nail designs, order another round of the cocktail I loved, buy orchestra seats to that Broadway show, and to take the darn vacation now. Tasiana once told me - "Stop trying to find fulfillment only in work. Prioritize finding adventure and excitement outside of work. A job should be what enables you to explore the things you truly love doing." It's some of the best advice I've ever received from a dear friend. I hope to honor her memory and legacy of living life fully by sticking to this advice going forward.
Most of all, Tasiana made those around her feel so loved. She celebrated things big and small. Her generosity knew no bounds. Work anniversaries, birthdays, big milestones - Tasiana was always there with a celebratory text or card (and often times with a Lady M Mille Crepe cake). We never doubted how much Tasiana cared for us.
Although Tasiana is gone, I know that memories of her are all around. I will see her in every bold lipstick, the streets of New Orleans, a whiskey cocktail, and the movie Home Alone. Her memory fills up every theater on Broadway, glistens on the marquee of Moulin Rouge, and surrounds a delicious slice of cake from Mia's Bakery in Brooklyn.
Tasiana was a treasure. Thank you for sharing your daughter/sister with the world. We are all better off for having known her. I miss her so.
Sending love and healing to you both.
Love,
Gabby Ziccarelli
