Tanvi's obituary
Our beloved & radiant Tanvi, age 40, of Sherman Oaks, CA, tragically passed away on October 8th soon after giving birth to her first baby, Zaeya Lal-Taraporewalla in the Los Angeles area.
Tanvi led a life full of color, laughter, adventure & intensity! She was born in India, to Maya and Krishan Lal, and was little sister to Anshul Lal. Tanvi spent her formative years in India. After graduating from Naval Public School in Delhi, Tanvi attended the prestigious St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, where she got her degree in Life Sciences. True to her pioneering spirit, Tanvi went on to study in the USA where she received her MPA and MSES at Indiana University, Bloomington. After her graduation, she joined ICF, a global Management Consulting and Service Provider, as an Associate. Tanvi stayed loyal to her company for 15 years, rising through the ranks to the role of Managing Director at the time of her passing.
In the early 2000’s, Tanvi met her future husband, Kaizad Taraporewalla. They developed a special bond instantly that lasted through the challenges of distance and time. In 2011, they got married in India with the glitz and glamor of a multicultural Indian wedding! Thereafter, they settled into married life in Sherman Oaks, where they adopted their beautiful dog, Zuri. Tanvi had mastered the skills of being a wife, a doggy mom, an amazing amateur baker, a daughter, a sister, and a friend, all while juggling her flourishing & demanding career. Her intelligence, wit, humor, and style were admired by one and all. She had a core group of loyal friends who had been in her life for decades, and with whom she cherished years of laughs, travels, gatherings, and adventures.
Tanvi lived her life with passion, kindness, and an effervescent and contagious energy. She loved to laugh and have long chats with friends. She filled her home with objects of good energy, and with people of good intention. She succeeded in her career due to her intelligence and grit. Tanvi had the deepest and most profound love for her husband, Kaizad, her daughter - whom she was looking forward to, and Zuri, the first addition to their young family.
Everyone who crossed paths with Tanvi will miss her terribly. In her close family circle, her loss has left an indelible hole, but she left behind the ultimate gift - the gift of the life of her beautiful baby daughter.
The family requests that you share a memory or a story of Tanvi here. There will be a funeral/memorial service at a later date.
