It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tammy Lynn Vaughn Hicks. Born on November 12, 1989, this loving mother, devoted daughter, cherished sister, and esteemed friend, passed away on July 20, 2024. This beautiful woman was always one to wear her heart on her sleeve, and loved everyone that she brought into her circle, her posse, her family with that heart. Sadly, that same heart is what has taken her from us. Tammy's kindness, spirit, and undying love will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Tammy leaves behind her precious children, son Alexander Carnell and daughter Octavia Hicks. They will carry her memory in their hearts as they continue to grow and explore the world, their mother's love ever present in their lives.

She is also survived by her adoptive mother, Brenda Swafford Graham, and step-mother, Kathy Hicks, and family friend, Mama Kimberly Stubbs.

Tammy's irreplaceable presence will also be deeply missed by her siblings: sisters Lenora Boggs, Laura Jones, Jessica Collier, and Tammek Hicks; brothers Robert Hicks, Brian Young, Jeremy Young, and Dean Hicks. Her death leaves a void that cannot be filled, but the bond that unites this family will bring strength and comfort in this time of grief.

Tammy was predeceased by her father, Willis (Sonny) Hicks. His love and values were deeply engraved in Tammy's heart and life, and his influence will continue to reflect through her family's lives.

She is also survived by her aunt, Joan Goforth, who will fondly remember her beloved niece. And, so many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who will also miss her joyful spirit.

As we mourn the loss of Tammy, we also celebrate a life filled with love, grace, and resilience. The impact she had on our lives will not be forgotten. Her spirit will continue to live on through those who loved her, and she will be forever missed.
