Tammy's obituary

With deep love and heartbreak, we announce the passing of Tammy Cunningham, at the age of 56.

Tammy was one of a kind. Quite simply, if you knew her, you loved her. Within minutes of meeting her, you were drawn in by her radiant smile, warm heart, and joyous laugh. She was the friend who wrote the most heartfelt cards, showed up with your favourite food when you needed comfort, and emphatically cheered your successes. Tammy had the most magical hugs and a rare gift for making everyone feel seen, valued, and loved.

Those who knew Tammy know how much she gave to others. Through her coaching, workshops, and trainings, she dedicated her career to helping people grow — teaching communication, leadership, and the art of connection. She inspired confidence and kindness wherever she went. Tammy also poured her love into her pet nanny business, caring for animals with the same devotion and joy she brought to her friendships. Her entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by her generosity.

Tammy shared a deep bond with her beloved mother, Marie, who passed away in 2022. The thought of them together again — laughing, hugging, and watching over us — brings comfort amid our sorrow.

Tammy will be deeply missed by her father Larry, her sister Sheri her brother Rob (Sil), and her much-loved nieces Lisa, Mariah and Emilie, nephews Kyle, Peter and Robbie Jr, and great-nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her many dear friends — her chosen family — who filled her life with laughter, love, and unwavering support. Tammy created community wherever she went, through her kindness, compassion, and genuine care for others. Her light will live on in every heart she touched.

A celebration of Tammy’s life will be held at a later date. In the meantime, those who loved her are invited to honour her spirit in the ways she lived — lift someone up, care for an animal, laugh from your belly, and love with your whole heart.
