Tammi's obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Tammi Bailey-Benavides, who left us on July 6, 2024. Born on October 1, 1970, Tammi was a beacon of kindness and loyalty, whose caring nature touched everyone she encountered.

Tammi was the beloved daughter of Jackie Bailey and the late Jim Tippin Jr., who preceded her in death on May 31, 2019. She was a devoted sister to Teeva Gardere and Tiffani Bailey, a loving mother to Terrin Bailey, an affectionate partner to Jeremiah Whidden, and a cherished aunt to Tesia Bailey and Tippin Gardere.

Tammi graduated from high school in Refugio, TX in 1989, the same year she joyfully welcomed her son into the world. She furthered her education in Beeville, TX, graduating with an AAS in Child Development in 1992. Tammi entered into marriage in 2002, which sadly ended in divorce in 2011.

She was a woman of varied interests. Tammi was an avid fan of Charmed (old/new) and pretty much anything on the CW, and had a fondness for movies, particularly those featuring Bruce Lee and Tyler Perry movies/shows. Her favorite pastimes included playing games like 'I Found It' and Bingo with family and friends, and she loved singing on Smule, a hobby that illuminated her caring and joyful spirit.

Tammi was a vibrant woman, a trait that was reflected in her love for the color red. She was a tea enthusiast, and her favorite vacation spot was Coushatta, where she loved to soak in the serene environment and create unforgettable memories.

To celebrate Tammi's life and cherish her loving memories, a celebration will be held on August 24, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Golden Corral Buffet & Grill in Victoria, TX. We invite all those who knew and loved Tammi to join us in paying tribute to her remarkable life.

In the face of this profound loss, Tammi's family expresses their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received. They ask that everyone remember Tammi as the caring, loyal, and passionate woman she was, whose legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
