Every Sunday morning, for about 7 years now, mom and I would call each other and have coffee over the phone. I believe we started this when my kids started leaving the “nest.” Mom knew I didn’t really love an empty nest so she thought of Sunday morning coffee dates. ☕️ Sundays seemed to be a great time for mom and I to catch up on the week. I would often have funny stories to share with her from kindergarten, and she would often talk about work, her animals, and her plans for the day. Our conversations were filled with laughter. The kind of laughter where you have to take a breather, but let me talk about her plans for the day. The plans for the day always had me shaking my head, and still do! My sweet mothers plans for one day always included things like bathe the dogs, rearrange the living room, grocery shop, organize the art room, weed the garden, and prime the trim to the indoor porch. Feeling exhausted? Yes!!! She made lists for one day that were merely impossible to accomplish but somehow that girl got most of it, (if not all of it), done! Some Sundays I would call her and just ask her if she paved the drive or put a new roof on today? Ha! Ha! Bless her heart. She had determination for sure!
I will forever cherish our Sunday morning coffee dates. Although it’s been a couple of Sundays already without a phone call, I’ve purposefully filled my coffee mug and sat in my sunroom where I would often chat with my mom. As I sat there thinking about the day, I smiled just thinking about my moms plans for the day. The one thing we both accomplished off our lists, (even now), is connecting with each other.
Sunday morning coffee dates will continue! I plan on enjoying my coffee, every Sunday, while looking in my backyard. (My mom loved our backyard)! She loved watching the birds. I know we will stay connected in so many ways, but “Sunday sunroom coffee dates watching the birds” will be my first priority.
See you soon momma 💕🕊️🪺🐣

My name is Marlo, I met Tamara through Jeremy over the phone offering prayer for her niece. And have been friends ever since 2015. We both stayed in contact on Facebook, praying, laughing and talking about her love of animals, Victorian homes and castle articles. I will miss my conversations with my friend dearly. I will see her in person one day, until then..

First, I have to share that whenever I saw Aunt Tammy the way she said "JJ!" Always, always made me feel so loved, so remembered, such joy!" Also, their siamese cat (firget name? Sorry!) that stood guard on their refrigerator kept us kids "in line" and I remember seeing it sleep in their dresser drawers! And then we walked from her house to feed horses and that's when we learned I was extremely allergic... I understand she called Mom panicking as hives took ahold of me...lol!
Love her and all of you!

Tammy joined me & my niece Ashley at “The Passion” an Easter musical play at Crossroads Church this past April 2022. Such a beautiful evening with her. She was so happy & felt really good & full of energy. She expressed she was going to paint some rooms inside her home. And she did, I had asked later. I just loved having that spiritual time with her.
I first met Tammy back in March of 1996, we would walk together warming up for Jazzercise class at Ontario Stingel Elementary School while our kids were across the street at the Ontario High School for the family swim. We would have casual conversations & she shared with me that they were building a new home. Wow what a small world it is!
Such a beautiful fun loving spirited soul! May you rest in peace sweet lady.

My Mom, Peggy, and Tammy's Mom, Sharon, were best friends. Grew up with and spent a lot of time with Tammy and Bret. I haven't seen Tammy's children since they were tiny. Seeing her obit saddens me. Much peace to the loved ones she leaves to cherish her memory.
