Personal note from Wale

My greatest fear has come to pass, and my priority is forever changed as she transitions into a light, leaving behind her vacant body. I could never imagine her so empty. A lifeless body that once vessels her beautiful soul across time and destiny, being traditionally discarded six feet deep inside the earth.

I have never known such pain, ache, melancholy, loneliness, and grief as that of the loss of my mother. My beautiful mother, the most beautiful, the most gracious, and the most trustworthy confidant and counsel to me.

Come to me, my spirit, my heart mourns. With the sobriety of mind and spirit, we accompany her home with our mourning like chariots charging on slowly towards the eternal grace. I am challenged to be strong, But how can I? For whom, if not her? Who shall comfort my tears now that she is gone? I am alone, but I am not weak. Otherwise, I would fail her. Losing my mother was my greatest fear, and it has come to pass. I grieve a heavy loss.
