Tadeusz Tomczyk – Ted

Tadeusz passed away peacefully on May 24th 2025 in JSUMC in Neptune, NJ after sudden illness.

He was born in Wysoka (Poland) on January 6th 1946 and moved to America many years ago.

He was employed by Ciba – Geigy (Novartis) in Summit, NJ, where he later retired from in 2003.

Ted moved from Irvington, NJ to Lakewood, NJ and lived in a retirement community, where he enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with friends and neighbors.

He loved to volunteer his time and gardening expertise, planting beautiful flowers in front of various churches and businesses.

Tadeusz was a devout Catholic who spent ample time visiting incredible churches both near and far. He personally knew many priests in the area and would frequently visit them and their churches. He was one of the most knowledgeable Catholics you could ever meet, and knew every detail about the religion, from the names of Bishops, to the meanings behind religious holidays and traditions.

He will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews (both in Poland and America) and by all of his family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Dominic Church in Brick Township, NJ on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10 AM. Followed by a service in the Mary Queen of Peace Mausoleum in Lakewood, NJ at 11:30 AM.
