Tadeusz's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tadeusz Andrew Grzebien (Ted), 78, of Pilzno, who passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025.

Tadeusz is survived by his sister Maria Rylko, children Barbara Graham (Anthony Graham), Alina Peifer (Mark Peifer), Paul Grzebien, granddaughters Sarah Graham, Samantha Graham, Mia Coken and Morgan Coken.

Tadeusz was born on May 20, 1946 in Pilzno, Poland to Karolina and Jozef Grzebien. Tadeusz relocated from his birthplace in Pilzno to Chicago, Illinois in 1962 with his mother and sister. After finishing high school he enlisted in the United States Army from September 16, 1966 to September 18, 1969 with a rank of specialist 5 technician. After the army, Tadeusz enrolled at Wright College to earn a degree in computer programming and had successful careers with World Book and Sears Corporation.

Ted enjoyed summer vacations with his family in South Haven, Michigan, spending time with his granddaughters, was a devout catholic and parishioner of Saint Johns the Evangelist in Streamwood, Illinois, an avid reader of Polish history and valued member of Klub Pilzno Chicago.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday May 8, 2025 at Saint John Brebeuf Parish, 8305 North Harlem Ave, Niles, IL at 10am.
