She is forever remembered by her siblings Cory (Karmenique) Washington, Tosha Sideboard, and Onekia Bradley, her step-siblings Jessica (Joseph) Mitchell, Aaron Townsend, and Archie Townsend, and her soul-siblings Elliot (Topeka) White and Krystal (Johnathan) Gauthier. She is also loved and remembered by her maternal grandmother Frances Albritton, her paternal grandfather Eugene Brown, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Tabitha was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Johnny & Hazel Sideboard, her maternal grandfather James Albritton, and her cousins Kittrell White, Jr., and Brittany & Jeremy William.
Tabitha was born on March 31, 1980, at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She attended Woodlawn high school and later received her Phlebotomy license from Remington College.
Tabitha was a warrior who withstood trials and challenges with tenacity and grace unlike any other. She loved to explore and try new things, especially if it was daring, like ziplining. Tabitha was deeply interested in the world around her and frequently jotted down her thoughts and philosophies in her journal, sticky notes, and calendar. She found comfort in spending time with her family, eating good food, listening to music and dancing, bullying her mother into self-care (which drove her crazy), and trying local food spots with her father.
Tabitha was our angel. She was bold, fierce, and honest - sometimes brutally so - but her authenticity was beautiful and refreshing. You could trust her to hold your secrets, to give you the best advice, and to see right through to your heart. She constantly motivated us to be better versions of ourselves and to practice gratitude. She shined brilliantly and will continue to do so by God's side. She was a pillar that held us all up. We will forever honor and remember our angelic warrior.
Until we meet again.
