January 15, 1974 – September 24, 2024
Synthia Lou Knowlton, beloved wife, mother, and community advocate, passed away on September 24, 2024, in American Fork, Utah, at the age of 50. Born on January 15, 1974, in Omaha, Nebraska, Syndi touched the lives of many with her compassion, strength, and dedication to helping others.
Syndi is survived by her loving husband, Tom Knowlton, and their three children: Emily, Tom Jr., and Isabelle. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she impacted.
Syndi’s passion for making a difference was most evident through her work with the Epilepsy Association of Utah, where she served on the board of directors. She was a tireless advocate for individuals with disabilities, lobbying at the Utah State Capitol for improved ADA access and rights. Her advocacy and dedication to helping others extended to providing medical supplies to thousands of families with special needs children.
Despite facing multiple autoimmune disorders, Syndi remained committed to her work, demonstrating resilience throughout her life.
She was very loved and her absence is felt.
Thank you for everything you did, Mom.
