Sylvia's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvia Hebert, a woman of unmatched kindness and compassion, on July 8, 2025. Born on October 8, 1953, Sylvia led an extraordinary life marked by her caring, persistent, charismatic, and kind personality. She now rests peacefully with her late husband, Dale Hebert, and her son, Robert Hebert.
A passionate supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, Sylvia's love for life extended beyond sports. She found immense joy in transporting animals to other states for adoption, giving them second chances at life in loving homes. This recreational activity was not just a hobby for Sylvia, but a mission she was deeply committed to. In recognition of her efforts, she even became a registered charity for the animals she loved so much.
Sylvia was a globetrotter with a soft spot for Conzumel, Mexico and Washington D.C. These vacation spots held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the memories she created there over the years. She was a firm believer of the mantra 'A little caring goes a long way.' Her own life was an embodiment of this lesson, as she cared deeply for dog rescue operations and dedicated herself to saving dogs and finding them homes.
Sylvia's life had a profound impact on those around her, and her legacy of unmatched kindness will live on in the hearts of many. Her tireless work for the causes she cared about, especially animal welfare, will continue to inspire countless individuals. Now reunited with her husband Dale, and her son Robert, Sylvia's spirit remains indomitable and continues to touch lives in more ways than one.
She is survived by her daughter Ashley Williams and her husband Bob, Cynthia Smith and her husband Ed, and Lauren Laborde and her husband David; and her grand children Ben and Asher Smith, and Hannah Laborde, and Ayrialle Hebert.
We will forever remember Sylvia Hebert for her selfless love, unwavering dedication, and unparalleled kindness. Her memory lives on not only in the many lives she touched but also in the countless fur friends she rescued. Sylvia, your compassion will be missed, but your legacy will live on forever.
