Sylvia's obituary
Sylvia Green (Earle), age 85, of El Dorado Springs, MO, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, surrounded by the family she spent a lifetime building.
Born on September 10, 1940, in Jacksonville, TX, to Thelma and Frank Earle, Sylvia lived a life defined by her devotion to God, her faith, and her family. She was the heart of five living generations—a rare and beautiful milestone she cherished deeply.
"As it is said, 'A mother holds her children's hands for a while, their hearts forever.' Sylvia Green held prayers and our hearts across five generations. She was the cornerstone of our family—the strongest, most loving woman we have ever known. While we are sad, we celebrate her journey to Heaven and the beautiful, lasting impact she made on every generation she touched."
Her true masterpiece was the legacy of love she left in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Frank; her sister, Patricia; her niece, Melissa; her sons, Darrell and David; her grandsons, Tanner, Lee, and Tyler; and her great-granddaughter, Madison.
Sylvia is survived by five generations who will carry her memory forward: her children, Della Dochstader, Dennis Dochstader, Dianna Viefhaus, and Darlene Morris; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She welcomed each with the same gentle love she gave her very first child.
John 14:1-3: "Do not let your hearts be troubled... In my Father's house are many rooms... I go to prepare a place for you"
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 – “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
