It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sylvia Flakes, a beloved daughter, sister, friend, and mother, who left this world on August 13th, 2023. Sylvia's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit, resilience, and dedication to her family and community. She was born on April 7th, 1945 in Baltimore, MD, to her loving parents Lillian Carr and Rodney White.

Sylvia pursued her education at Howard University and successfully graduated from there. 

Sylvia's legacy extends through her three children: Erica Flakes, John Flakes, and Phillip Flakes. Her memory will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
