I’m deeply saddened to hear of your passing, especially after we had only just reconnected. It felt so good to catch up and be reminded of the kindness, humor, and warmth that made you such a special person back in high school—and still so present today.

Even in that short time, it meant a lot to talk again, to remember, and to share a few laughs. I only wish we had more time.
