On Sunday January 8, 2023, Syd passed away peacefully in his sleep at home with his soulmate Darla and his puppy Bandit. 

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a remarkable man who got along with almost everyone he met. He loved music, cooking, woodworking and took pride in everything that he did. 

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Pearl "Busha", mother and father Marlene and Armin as well as Max and Lexi.

He is survived by his loving wife Darla. His children Robert (Elizabeth), Patrick, Colton and Bandit. His grandchildren Wyatt, Dominick, Harley, Kara and Riley. His siblings Mark (Theresa), Sheila (and family), Arminda (and family), Michelle (and family) and Shawn (and family). His nieces and nephews Corey, Tayler, Brandon, Ashlee, Miranda and Decoda. As well as numerous other family and friends that loved him.
