Suzanne Elizabeth Staley (Schaffner)

Daughter of Gus J Schaffner Jr and Dorothy R Schaffner (Gath).

Our dear mother Suzanne Elizabeth Staley (Schaffner) sadly passed away on August 18, 2024, at the age of 85 after an extended illness. She died peacefully at Cornerstone hospice in Clermont Florida. Her absence leaves a void in our hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus J Schaffner and Dorothy R Schaffner, her Sister Doris Harley, her brother James R Schaffner and a granddaughter Jennifer Staley.

Sue was married to her soul mate Donald Robert Staley Sr since August 1,1956 for 54 years. Sue Leaves behind her four children, Donald R Staley Jr, (Kim Staley) John "Jack” Staley ( Karlene Staley) Bruce Staley (Kin Staley) and Matthew Staley, Seven grandchildren, Sara Singh, Jessica Wilking, Christopher Staley, Tyler Staley, Molly Whitfield, Lucas Staley and Rhiannon Staley, Five great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Wilking, Brooks Wilking, Jaxton Wilking, Nora Singh, and Asher Staley. Sue enjoyed life to the fullest following Dad's Retirement.

They traveled extensively to wine country as well as Hawaii multiple times. Upon Don’s death she spent the rest of her time with her son Jack, first in Baltimore then Clermont Florida.
