Suzanne's obituary

Suzanne Mueller MacIntyre, a stalwart in the field of education and a beloved family member, passed away on August 19, 2025. She was born on April 14, 1947, embodying a spirit that was kind, fun, caring, loving, competitive, resilient, and a fighter throughout the course of her life.

Suzanne began her illustrious career in 1972 as an educator at East Stroudsburg University. Her passion for teaching and growth led her to acquire a doctorate from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA in 1997. She marked the end of her professional journey in 2008 with retirement from her position as a professor emeritus at East Stroudsburg University. Upon retiring, she continued to share her expertise through lectures and co-authoring a textbook titled Developmental Physical Education for All Children.

Her marriage to Norman L. MacIntyre in 2013 was a true blessing to her and her family. Norman was very important to her in their time together and exemplified a caring, loving, and understanding husband.

Suzanne held a special love for travel, butterflies, gymnastics, Robert Redford, and The Beatles, their music a testament to her fun and spirited personality. Suzanne left behind lessons in professionalism and how to be the best teacher, principles she embodied throughout her life. Her legacy will be one of love and care, affecting everyone who knew her.

Suzanne is survived by her son Rudy Kirk Mueller, her daughter-in-law Annette Mueller, grandsons Colton and Zane Mueller, brothers Bill (Judy) and Peter (Laurie) Schultz, her nephew Billy Schultz, niece April (Matt) Schumann, and her nephews Peter and Willow Schultz. Norman's family, Jennifer (Allen) Flogel, Angeline Flogel, Jamie Flogel, and Becky (Jimmy) Knight, as well as Rudy’s family, Cheryl (John) Kite, Thomas, Michael, and Kelsey Kite, also mourn the loss of Suzanne.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations towards the "Memorial Scholarship in Physical Education." Owing to Suzanne's lifelong dedication to education, the family believes this to be a fitting tribute to her memory. The funds can be donated at https://everloved.com/life-of….
