The Suzanne Mueller, Ph.D. Memorial Scholarship in Physical Education
For 36 years, Dr. Suzanne Mueller dedicated her career as a professor in the Department of Physical Education at East Stroudsburg University, where she inspired generations of students to embrace the transformative power of movement and education. A passionate advocate for physical education, Dr. Mueller championed the importance of lifelong health, wellness, and the role of educators in shaping stronger communities.
As the author of Developmental Physical Education for All Children, Dr. Mueller’s influence extended beyond the classroom and into the field itself, where her scholarship and teaching advanced the discipline and guided countless future educators.
The Suzanne Mueller, Ph.D. Memorial Scholarship has been established to honor her remarkable legacy and to support professionals pursuing a degree or an advanced degree in physical education. This award is intended to recognize and encourage those who demonstrate leadership, academic excellence, and a commitment to advancing the field of physical education—qualities that Dr. Mueller exemplified throughout her distinguished career.
