Suzanne's obituary

Suzanne Moga, age 93, of North Aurora, IL peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, May 26, 2025. She was born on July 27, 1931 to Ralph and Lucinda Roscoe of Aurora, Il. She lived a life rich in love, creativity and community service. She will be forever loved and greatly missed.

Sue attended West Aurora High School and then married her beloved husband John J. Moga in June 1950. Together they opened their own business -Moga Plumbing – and worked in the community for 25 years. She then went on to work at the Kane County Court House in various positions.

Sue loved to paint and was very active in the Aurora Art League for many years. Some of her beautiful paintings could be seen at Dryer Medical Clinic. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her and John’s love for snow skiing at Four Lakes in Lisle where they both served on the ski patrol as well as taking many trips to Colorado and Michigan. Fishing trips to Canada for them were a cherished annual tradition, creating lots of fun and lasting memories. Sue was also involved in Playmakers, doing the makeup for many local theatre productions. Along the way, she also got her real estate license and volunteered at the Paramount Theatre in Aurora. As busy as she was, she really enjoyed doing yard work, cooking and baking. She would volunteer to make desserts for the Phoenix Club Womens Auxillary once a month for their Friday fish fry.

Sue is survived by her loving daughter Jennie (Jeff Koppel), son David (Cameron Matherly) and cherished grandson, Declan and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents ,and 8 siblings.

We want to thank everyone at Divine Hospice for their loving care and support during this difficult time. They made the journey a little easier.

A memorial mass will be held at St. George Church in Aurora, 720 Rural St. on Saturday, June 14 at 10:30 am
