Our family’s deepest sympathy to Dr. and Mrs. Lin, Grace and Bruce, for the loss of your beloved Susy.
I have fond memories of my childhood friend, Susy. I always admired her quiet strength and unmatched joie de vivre, as she immersed herself in a multitude of passion projects, always an ardent fan of someone remarkable, such as Princess Diana, Sting, Ivan Lendl (or was it Boris Becker?). She approached life with a sense of wonder, and lived a life with purpose and meaning. The comments and pictures shared here beautifully capture her vitality as she journeyed through her life’s adventures.
We will miss Susy. She was truly a remarkable person. Please take care!
Sincerely, Christine, Susan, Dr. Hui-shong and Mrs. Amy Chang

My condolences to Susy's family. I am a classmate of Susy's from the class of 9T5. We'd lost touch since graduation and I was taken aback to learn of Susy's passing at our recent class reunion. I remember her wit with great fondness. I specifically remember how she once delivered a sarcastic comment about me with such deadpan skill, it made me laugh out loud at a most inappropriate moment in the hospital. Writing this puts a smile on my face, as Susy so often did.

Susy was my clinic partner in first year at U of T then we reconnected at medcan. For a short while. She was a really smart engaged doctor but I will miss her great sense of humor most. She was humble she was fun and funny. She was a force. She will be sadly missed.

On June 20, 1995, we proudly gathered at the U of T Convocation Hall and became MD's together. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, Susy is still among us with her positive energy!

Susy and I were classmates at University of Toronto Medical school.
I was deeply saddened to hear of Susy's passing. Though it has been many years since we were classmates, I remember her with fondness and warmth. Her presence made a mark on those school days, and I can only imagine the love and impact she brought to those around her since.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. My thoughts are with you as you navigate this loss, and I hope you find comfort in the memories you shared with her.
With Warm Regards and Sympathy,
Anjali

Starting in 2000 I shared clinic space with Susy Lin at 150 York St, Toronto for several years.
Who was Susy Lin?
Kinetic, yet thoughtful.
Alive. Intrepid. Principled.
Irreverent with a delightful infectious sense of humour.
A knowledgeable clinician whose engagement, conscientiousness, and attention were greatly appreciated by her patients.
May her memory serve as her legacy to the still-living.

Susy was a great friend to me since we met at Sydenham first year of Western. She was a generous, brilliant, compassionate and forgiving person. She faced her illness with grace. I really miss her.

It was hard to hear this news. My cousin Susy and I wrote back and forth as we were growing up. She was always such a positive person, so friendly and welcoming, down to her loopy handwriting. We shared a love for cats! I appreciated how good she was about staying in touch all these years with her holiday letters. I am sorry that we didn't get to spend more time together in person.
I know how hard this is, and we are sending love and hugs from New Mexico to Grace, Bruce, Auntie, and Uncle.

I was one of Susy's roommates. Susy was the most bubbly person I had met. I will always remember her as a person with such a bubbly personality that always had time for others. Susy seemed always living life to the fullest. She will be missed.

I got to know Susy while working with her for over 17 years at Medcan. She was dedicated, diligent, compassionate, generous and so much more. We became friends and I saw her sense of humour and love for travel. When she would travel, I waited in anticipation for snap shots of the sites she visited…. Instead, I received pictures of her meals which made me laugh!I realized then she was a “foodie”!!
Susy always made time to listen. She shared her wisdom and guidance during a time when I felt there was no hope. I will always be grateful to her for that and for her friendship.
My family and I send our deepest condolences to the Lin family. Susy will be missed… May she rest in peace.

I worked and first met Susy at a clinic in Richmond Hill. Apart from being professional and empathetic she was full of fun and had a wicked sense of humour. We became friends and attended Tupperware and Candlelite parties as well as many lunches and After Noon Teas. We shared her love and knowledge of figure skating at the World's Figure Skating Championship in Quebec City. Her love of food resulted in her completing a Chefs course at George Browns College. Travel was something we both enjoyed and shared. The news of her passing was a shock and my heartfelt condolences go to her family and friends.
Susy....you will be missed.
