Susan Audrey Gray was called to heaven on February 10, 2026.

Susie was born May 30, 1957 and was the daughter of Ralph and Eleanor Gray of Lynchburg, Virginia.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger sister Mary Ethel Gray.

Susie was known for the light she brought into every room. A respiratory therapist and neonatal nurse for many years, she found deep purpose in helping others and had a rare gift for turning strangers into friends. She recently helped develop the Excel Basketball Academy in Virginia Beach, Virginia. 

Creative and endlessly busy, she had a natural talent for interior design and was always dreaming up her next project. At home, she was the family’s joy, often inventing new dance moves just to make everyone laugh. Her beloved dog, Jackson, shared an especially close bond with her and adored her beyond measure. She was an incredible mom who loved Abby and Jackson more than life itself. Susie faced her battle with cancer with extraordinary bravery, standing up for herself with strength and grace until the very end.

Susie is survived by her daughter Abby Rose Reynolds, dog/son Jackson and partner Stephen D. Halliday of Boynton Beach, Florida.

We are so happy Susie has found peace and comfort. Memories of her will be with us forever.  Until we meet again. Your loving family and friends.
