Susan “Sisterfriend” Wiggins lived life entirely on her own terms. She danced to the beat of her own drum, she loved to party, and moved through the world with a playful, childlike spirit. Susi lived among the fairies and angels; free, unfiltered, and unapologetically herself.

She is survived by her mother, Susan Turner, and her partner, Ronald Allen; her sister, Kristi Johnson; her brother, Matthew Wiggins; her beloved nephew, Michael York, her bonus niece and nephew, David Johnson and Bella Johnson; and her cousins, Stuart Redmon, Christopher Blakely, Kasey Rector, Sara Comley, Trish Ebelhar, and Tyler Rector. She is also survived by her aunt Kathy Comley-Rector, and husband Joel Rector; uncles Dennis Comley and Martin Comley; aunts Kim Carte, Ladonna Rea and Patricia Manning; and many extended family members who loved her deeply.

In her final days, it became impossible to ignore the depth of Susi’s impact, especially on the next generation. Looking around her hospital room, her family realized that Susi had quietly helped raise a village. She was a stand-in mom, protector, and safe place for many young people, including Andrew Johnson, Jessica Lee, Lauren Lee, and many others. Her influence shaped lives in ways that cannot be measured.

Susi is also mourned by her oldest and dearest friends, Legenia Comley and Beth Johnson, her partners in mischief and adventure, who laughed with her the hardest and loved her always.

Susi’s legacy is not found in convention, but in connection. She fed people’s souls, showed up exactly as she was, and gave others permission to do the same. Her playful nature, fierce love, and unmistakable presence will be felt forever by those who knew her.
