Susan's obituary
A long-time resident of Mystic and Groton, CT, Susan was a student of S.B. Butler Elementary School and a graduate of Fitch Senior High School. She spent the majority of her career as an administration coordinator at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in New London. Susan raised three children and was a frequent helper within their club activities. Together, they spent many summers on Cape Cod camping at The Woodlot campground, swimming in its ponds, and bike riding the Rail Trail. She enjoyed nature walks and befriending pets. She played the flute in school and volunteer orchestras.
Susan is survived by her son Andrew Larese-Casanova, his wife Eleanor, and their children Brandon, Rowan, and Logan of Ledyard, CT; her son Mark Larese-Casanova, his wife Amy Odum, and their children Emma, Madi, and Henry of Logan, UT; her son Philip Larese-Casanova, his wife Beesan Tan, and their child Ewan of Lexington, MA; her sister Claudia Gilmartin of Berwick, ME, and her sister Katherine Sonnenburg of Ledyard, CT.
