I am so sorry to hear of Sue's passing. We were friends. I have known her since grade school. She sat across from me in Mr. Dittburner's classroom. I remember her so vividly. We would bike ride together as kids. I remember dinner at her house. We reconnected a couple of years ago. I will miss her. She accomplished a lot during her life.

Today I learned about Sue's passing from a mutual friend, and I'm so very sad to hear the news. Sue was a VIP in my world--she helped launch my first website, assisted with my newsletters and was my tech/IT advisor as I built my own business. I also was privileged to be her business/career coach as she moved out of the corporate world into entrepreneurship and then the arts. Sue was a loyal attendee of my book reviews, both at Borders and at the Wheaton Public Library, and I loved her quiet confidence and gentle laugh. She was, above all, a straight-shooter, and she will be greatly missed. Love and deep condolences to Russ and her daughters and their families... Those beautiful grandchildren were, I think, her greatest artwork/treasure.

I came onto Facebook this evening to wish Sue a happy birthday. I was shocked and saddened to see that she has passed away. I have so many fond memories of living with Sue, and 3 other friends, on Green Street in Champaign. Russ was there quite often to hang out with us. We kept in touch for many years, getting together at the house in Warrenville with our kids. Sue was always so welcoming. I am so sorry for your loss, Russ. And for your girls and grandkids, I know they will be missing her terribly.

My sincere condolences to Sue's family and friends. I briefly worked with her at Bell Labs in the early 1980s. She was a wonderful person

My sincere condolences to Sue’s family. I worked with Sue at Bell Laboratories many years ago. She was a wonderful colleague and friend. Sue had been working there a year a two before I joined and she was always so friendly and helpful to me. I will always cherish my memories of the many laughter-filled lunchtime conversations that Sue, Kathy Sneed, Betty Zographos and I shared. I was so sorry to hear of Sue’s passing. May she rest in peace and may God comfort and strengthen the family during this difficult time.

Our deepest condolences to the Tripp Family. Sue has been a longtime pillar and friend in our Monday Night "Bell Labs" Golf League and will be greatly missed by her golf family. In her honor, we will be placing a memorial plaque on one of the trees at Village Links Golf Course that we see every round. She will be forever remembered.

Sue and I both worked at Bell Labs/Lucent and have known each other for decades. I have assorted memories of Sue through the years, but this one always pops into my head first. Many years ago, we were at a work luncheon at Pal Joey's Restaurant in West Chicago. At that luncheon, for the first and ONLY time, I ate 4 slices of deep dish pizza. Apparently I was REALLY hungry that day! Sue was sitting near me and I always remember the incredulous look on her face when she said to me, "I can't believe you ate **4** slices of Pal Joey's pizza!" And there have been several times, even in recent years, that Sue would mention the day that I ate **4** slices of Pal Joey's deep dish pizza! This is a fun memory for me and even though I have other memories of Sue, whenever someone mentions her name, I think back to that luncheon at Pal Joey's and chuckle.
Sue will really be missed.

This is Jackie Schiff (Hunt) married to Dave Schiff. Just saw Joelle’s post on her website. We are very saddened to hear of Sue’s passing away. I am thinking of the grandchildren that will miss her. I only met Sue once when Russ , Sue and the girls (in strollers) came down to Galveston to visit us probably 25 years ago. Oh my! Take care of the family! Blessings!

We are heartbroken to hear of Sue’s passing. I got to know her when Russ and Sue starting dating at U of I freshman year. I knew then their relationship was something special that would last for decades. Russ, I wish for you to know Jackie and I will always have you in our hearts and prayers at this sad time. May the lord keep you in his heart and watch over you all in this difficult time for you and your family.

Russ,
You and Sue had some thing very rare,
a true partnership based on love and respect. It is so obvious that your love persevered through many many years and is reflected in the eyes of your children. I cannot adequately express how deep our sadness is over this tremendous loss. You, Jamie and the entire family will be in my prayers for many, many, many days and months to come.
I am praying that the Lord brings comfort to you, the children and your precious grand children in a supernatural way.
Sue truly
was one of a kind and her kindness to others was evident and I know she would want you all to be comforted, with love and peace.
Your loving relationship as a couple, it’s a great legacy and example to your children of true commitment.
I pray our heavenly father sustain you and the kids as you go through the next few months. We are praying for you now! Sheila.

I lived across the street from Sue growing up on Brnot Street. We were great friends as girls and loved doing arts and crafts. We lost touch over the years but had reconnected a few years ago. I will keep my fond memories of our girlhood always❤️
There are no words to express how you all must be feeling now. You are in my thoughts.
Sue will be missed.

I am so sorry for all the pain Sue's loss will cause in this world. She was a talented artist, a gentle soul and a kind, kind person. I will miss her. I wish I could attend her celebration of life, but sadly, I will be out of town. I will celebrate her, however, every time I see the beautiful art she created that hangs in my hallway. I am grateful to have these pieces. I am so, so sorry.

Dear Russ, Jamie, & Joelle,
We are so sorry. Sue's glass creations were amazing and as one can see from the pictures she was a pretty good dancer and hola-hooper. She was loved and will be missed.
