Susan invited Cheryl and me and our daughter, Samantha, to a dance recital. Ugh! A kids recital! I guess we had to go. Well … it wasn’t JUST a recital, it was a RECITAL! It was worthy of a Broadway production!! We couldn’t believe the excellence of every performer on stage, the choreography that was so unique and the music selections that fit together perfectly. Susan is a genius in our eyes. My daughter, who was 5 or 6, wanted to learn to dance like that! It was a treat and truly memorable. We miss her dearly and her laughter especially! 😢

This pretty, smart and engaging young woman stopped in our agency’s office at Innervisions, Inc., on Curtis Street in Meriden to pitch me a deal for radio advertising on WKSS. I had just finished recording a series of promos for a client, New Haven Airways, that included voicing by my then-4-year-old daughter, Samantha. Susan absolutely loved the promos and created a deal we couldn’t refuse and so we aired them on KSS. More than that, she wanted to meet Samantha and she actually gave her dance lessons the way only Susan could do! She invited us to her troup’s dance recital and we were amazed at her creative and unusual style that was pretty breathtaking and captivating. We became close friends and got together often including at her wedding. We had Bunker Hill sit on our laps and used paper towels to mop up his drools. What wonderful times they were!!! She will always be fondly remembered and terribly missed by us. I’m sure she’s choreographed a new routine for St. Peter!! Miss you so much, Miss Sweet! ❤️

Susan fit her last name well: Sweet! She was sweet, successful, funny, warm and a wonderful friend. We last saw her with Christian at her home in Suffield but stayed in touch by phone and frequent texts. She never lost her sense of humor and we promised to get together. We’re sorry we never did. We know she’s at peace and dancing her head off. We miss you so much, Susan!
