Rest in peace, Susan.  Your kindness will always be remembered.
We'll miss Susan. She was a mainstay in the Bisbee community. Benevolent, principled, hard working, and smart, she contributed to our community in many ways, not the least of which were her years as a Board member of the Boys and Girls Club. I worked with Susan at the Club, and came to respect her deeply. With great fondness...Larry Borger
Susan was one of the first persons we met when we moved to Bisbee from Tempe.  She would walk past our home up to the Divide with her walking group of girlfriends.  They strolled up the mountain chatting all the way about recent trips they'd taken, events taking place in Bisbee and good places to eat.  It wasn't long before I joined the group, who was made up of some real characters, to say the least.  Susan was the stable influence of the group.  She was involved in so many things in town.  She worked constantly on behalf of the Boys and Girls Club, which was her real passion.  She served on the Board of the Club with my husband, Larry, for years.  She also contributed her time and efforts to the Tin Town Shelter, helping prepare the Wednesday night community dinner every week.  She was involved with the library, the museum and many more things that I probably didn't even know about.  She and Michael could be seen selling tickets for whatever event in town was due to take place almost every weekend. I confess there were times I'd avoid encountering them in their ticket selling modes just to get on with my day.   Now I wish I'd stopped to chat with her more often during those ticket selling times.  I shared many meals with Susan.   Both at the Shelter and in various restaurants in town.  Susan is the one who told me about "Beyond Bread" in Tucson and gave me constant updates on what Trader Joes was carrying.  She entertained us with travel stories, it was obvious travel was another passion of hers.   And she loved talking about her children.  To this day when I drive by the Rohrbach blue, two-story house on Tombstone Canyon in Bisbee I ALWAYS think of Susan and Michael.  To me it is still their home.  Thanks, Susan for all you did for Bisbee.  Your leaving us is great loss.
