In Loving Memory of Susan Marie Post

June 18, 1960 – August 28, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Susan Marie Post, a mother, sister, grandmother, niece, and cousin. Susan, age 63, passed away August 28, 2023 in Redford, Michigan.

Susan had a talent for culinary arts, and her kitchen became a sanctuary where she poured her heart and soul into every dish she created. Countless times, Susan’s delicious meals graced the tables of the Redford Police and Fire Departments, a gesture of appreciation for their dedicated service to the community. She had a special fondness for her rose bush, which brought her great joy and delight. Each morning, as the sun rose, Susan witnessed the unfolding beauty of yet another exquisite rose.

Left behind to carry on Susan’s cherished memory are her beloved son’s, Joshua Socolovitch, Jason (Kristen) Socolovitch. She also leaves behind her precious grandsons, Logan Michael and Lincoln John.

In the wake of her absence, Susan’s loss leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew her best. She will be dearly missed by her step-mom, Sylvia Post; her supportive brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sharren Post; her dear sister Janet Post; her caring Uncle Ray and Aunt Donna, and her loving Aunt Ilene. Additionally, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins join the ranks of those feeling the weight of this sorrow.

Susan is now reunited with her parents, Lyman L Post, Rosemary Post, as well as her sister Michelle L Post and her nephew Jeremy D Post, who preceded her in death. She is also at peace with her paternal and maternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family humbly requests that in honor of Susan’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Instead, they invite all who knew and loved Susan to gather in a quiet reflection, celebrating her life with stories, laughter, and heartfelt remembrance in their own way.

May Susan find eternal peace in the arms of the angels, forever remembered by her loved ones.
