It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Rae Asbury Patton 50, a beloved mother, grandmother, and family figure, who left us on November 16, 2023. Born on December 12, 1972, Susan lived a life filled with love, warmth, and cherished family moments.

Susan is survived by her sons Billy (Audreyauna) Wright, Austin (Amanda) Wright, Markus (Brandy) Wright & Noah Copley. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Kayleigh, Paisley, Kaison, Harlan, Xander, Aralyn and Asher Wright. She will also be missed by her Nieces, Belinda (Martin) Bradley, Charlotte Hughes and Nephew,  Collin Wright, as well as many great nieces and great nephews.

Susan was preceded in death by her loving husband Jerry Ray Patton, Her daughter’s Shelby M’Lynn and Destiny Rayne. Her parents, Billy Ray and Carolyn Ann Hawkins Asbury, her sisters Frances Hughes, Ginnie Wright, and her niece Heather Brown.

A woman of simple pleasures and deep affections, Susan had a fondness for the television show "Law & Order SVU" and enjoyed playing Rummy. She liked to cool off with sweet tea or Mountain Dew. Susan loved spending time with her family, fishing, having family get-togethers, going to the lake, and eating at Waffle House. The lake was always her favorite vacation spot, and she was drawn to all things purple, her favorite color.

Susan was known for her infectious laughter, empathetic nature, and her unyielding support and love for her family. She carried joy, warmth, and a sense of comfort wherever she went. Her adoration for her family and her robust spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by everyone lucky enough to have known her.
