Susan's obituary
Susie is preceded in death by her Mother Ruby Lee (Trammel) Rupe, Grandmother Mary Trammel, Grandfather A.J. Trammel, Grandmother Edith Rupe, Grandfather Will Cleveland Rupe.
Susie is survived by her husband Barry Lakey of 25 years. They were married on February 14th, 1990.
Susie is lovingly remembered by her Daughter Ashlee Lakey, Son-in-law Jeremy Hammock, Granddaughter Serenity Hammock, Grandson Elias Hammock, and new grandbaby arriving in October of 2019, of Lewisville, Tx. Sister Stacey (Rupe) Greenway, Brother-in-law Chuck Greenway, Nephew Jack Greenway of Lewisville, Tx. Nephew Clayton Greenway and wife Rachel Greenway of Boston, Massachuchets. Brother David (Bud) Rupe and Wife Cara Rupe, Nephew Cody Rupe, and Niece Whitney Rupe of Lake Dallas, Tx.
Susie was born in Dallas, Tx on April 25th, 1968. She attended school in Lake Dallas where she completed up to the 9th grade. She went on to work at Slicks then moved on to work in the cafeteria in the Lake Dallas school district, where she was a very hard worker. She became a mother to her daughter in 1995, she was a stay at home mom from then on.
Susie loved spending time with her family and friends. In the last year she became a grandmother and was enjoying getting to know him and excited about the new addition to come. Susan always had a book in her hand and you could catch her many a time outside admiring the dragonflies as she read her books. In her lifetime she cared for many animals and loved each and everyone of them that would show up at her door. She never turned one away.
Her Celebration of Life will be on Sunday April 28th at The American Legion from 1:30-3:30 pm.
