Dear Aunt Susie,

You were a second mom to us growing up. I'll never forget Friday pasta nights and the fun we had helping around the kitchen. You and Uncle Tom were always there for words of encouragement and motivation. The best memories were growing up in Rollingwood with all our friends and family. God bless you, Uncle Tom, Eric, Mary, and Amy for being my second family. Much love and rest in peace with Christ our Lord,

Tommy Sullivan

To my Johnson cousins (Eric, Amy and Mary), I want to send my loving wishes to you all, hoping that you find comfort during this time. My mom, Joan Johnson Landon, was Tom Johnson's sister, and Sue became a very close friend and relative to my branch of the family over the years. My family was always in Vermont, so trips to see the Texas branch of the family were infrequent, unfortunately.  As Sue's niece, I appreciated her very encouraging words and interest in my life. Sue was a good letter-writer and kept in touch regularly. She especially liked to know what art projects I was involved in. She reached out after holidays to tell me how much she liked my various handmade Christmas cards, and she even ordered some from me for her own use. I am very sorry to hear of Sue's passing, and I hope she left us peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. My thoughts are with you.

Sue holds such a special place in my heart. She was an amazing woman who fiercely loved her family. I was fortunate enough to have Amy as my college roommate and we quickly became great friends. While in college, Sue and Tom were so kind to me and let me crash many family meals, let me work around the house to earn money while attending college, even talked a friend of theirs into letting me work and live on their property once I was no longer living on the college campus. I have so many fond memories and feel incredibly blessed to have gotten the gift of having Sue and Tom in life. Sending so much love to her beautiful children and grandchildren.
I was so sad when I heard the news of Susan's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Love,  Jan and Ross.

In honor of my beautiful Mother-in-law.

You were an amazing woman and you were such an example to me as a mother and a wife. You loved me as your own and loved your grandchildren with all your heart.  You were an inspiration and I always admired you for the mother, wife and grandmother you were to your family.

I have so many memories of our family dinners in Texas. You were an amazing cook and were always excited to share your recipes and pass on your wisdom to me.  I always loved our conversations on the latest books you were reading and stories you would tell.   I will always treasure the many memories I have with you. You blessed our family in so many ways. It was such a gift  to be able to spend the last two years in Florida with you.

We will miss you and love you so very much.

Audrey

A tribute to my beloved mother:

To my dear mother, I miss you so much already. You were the fabric and glue that held our family together. You were always there for me when I needed you, and always had my best interests in mind. I'm so grateful to God and blessed beyond measure to have had you in my life. You were an amazing woman and an awesome mother. I will never forget all the things you taught me and will always appreciate your unconditional love and support. I know you are in a better place now, hanging out with our Lord Jesus and Dad too, but I still wish you were here with us. I know that we will see each other again one day, but until then, I will cherish all of our memories together. You were the best mom I could have ever asked for. Mom, I love you and miss you very much.
