The other day I was thinking about some of the camping trips I've had, and I suddenly remembered the really fun ones Sue, Michelle, some of our daughters and I used to take to Hero, Vermont. Sue's and Michelle's daughters were all still pre-teens or younger, and my younger two were the same ages. We had SUCH a good time. The girls would go swimming and wander around the campground when we weren't out seeing the Lipizzaner horses or visiting antique shops. There were the usual marshmallow roastings and campfire cookouts every evening. Sometimes we even had exciting Jiffy-Pop explosions and subsequent visits from Gangsta skunks... I will always remember with love all those late evenings sharing a bottle (or two) of wine and laughing together about everything and nothing. Oh Sue, I miss you so very much.

Some of my favorite moments with Sue were when we recited some of our favorite Monty Python skits back and forth. Our best one was The Penguin on the Television Set, but we would crack up doing The Spanish Inquisition — especially when we’d make up other forms of torture.
My gosh, I miss her. 💔

I knew Susan before she was a week old. She had the sunniest disposition that never changed, except in her teen years before she had her coffee in the morning. Whenever I needed a lift, I knew who to go to, and whenever I was up north, I would make arrangements to see her. The last time I saw her was in August. She had missed the family reunion and I had a couple of shirts for her and Jerry that Mark had bought. Mark had asked that I deliver them so she would have a memento. She was rushing between meetings, barely having time for lunch. We chatted about inconsequential things, about her girls and Jerry, about me and my family. We kissed and parted. Little did I know that would be the last time I would see her. I love you Susan. I’ll never forget you.

This makes me very sad and shocked to see she passed away. Susan was such a wonderful person. I enjoyed doing her hair for so many years. Sorry to the family for your loss. She will be deeply missed.

While fighting Stage 4 Throat/Neck Cancer, my baby sister Susan helped me keep my deep faith - She assured me I would survive & be able to have a productive life.
