Background
We all can agree that the worst part of being a pet owner is losing them. In our opinion, it is just as heartbreaking to see a pet mourning the loss of its owner as our mom's little Ozzie is right now.
Our parents' love for animals is undeniable. Over the years, they raised and showed many dogs. They also owned horses and birds. Our mom's allergy to them was the only reason they could never have a cat, although our dad would occasionally plea for one.
Our mom's passing was tragically sudden so she never gave us detailed instructions. However, we both recall her telling us to make sure our dad always has a pet to love if something were to happen to her.
We have set up this fund to honor our mother's wishes due to the high cost of veterinary care. All donations will go toward the future care of our dad's pets, including dear little Ozzie and Peggy Sue.
Thank you all for your expressed sympathies during this difficult time.
