Susan was a great support to me while going through a difficult time at work, I was hospitalized and off work for months, and Susan not only took my side, but she also asked people in the organization to pray for me and my recovery. I never forgot that, empathic, kind, and supportive were just a few of her many qualities. Susan, you are not gone, you just transcended, now out of the confining of your terrene body, your spirit is free and is present in everything you loved. Thank you for standing up for me when I could not stand on my own. Thank you for your prayers, I now pray for you in your final trip.

Et lux Perpetua luceat eis/let perpetual light shine upon you.

So many wonderful memories of Susan especially on Woodfield Road. Her gardens were always beautiful and she was so knowledgeable about them. She & Benjamin were good friends to me through a difficult time in my life. Susan would whip up those curries and invite me for dinner. We’d enjoy a good bottle of wine and many, many laughs! She & I walked for miles upon miles with Benny & Daisy. Every evening at 4:30 it was off to Cherry beach for us. I remember her so fondly. RIP, Susan. ❤️

When I was younger, anyone who knows me knows I was a handful. Susan was patient and kind, and excepted me into her home and her heart. I will fondly remember our trips to the zoo when I was young, and all the different gardening techniques she taught me.

As I got older I became quite proficient at landscaping because of what Susan had tought me. She loved being in her gardens, and they were always beautiful.
