Susan's obituary
Susan Marie Dussault Shaarda, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, partner, aunt, and friend, entered the heavenly kingdom suddenly on November 14, 2024.
Born on October 28, 1953 to Arthur and Audrey Dussault, who preceded her in death, Susan was a devoted daughter who carried forward her parents’ legacy of love, kindness, and joy. She was the cherished mother of Emily Clark (Randall), David Shaarda (Jennifer), and Jeffrey Shaarda (Kara). Her five adored grandchildren—Riley, Olivia, Benjamin, Hannah, and Madelynn—were the center of her world, and she found immense joy in watching them grow.
Susan shared many happy years in a loving relationship with Bob Lewis, creating a life full of cherished memories. Susan and Bob had a special love for spending relaxing days at Holiday Camplands, where she found peace, joy, and a sense of community.
She was a devoted sister to Arthur Dussault (Connie), Barbara de Villiers (Henri), Laurie Kelly (John), and Bob Dussault (Denise). A proud aunt and great-aunt to many, Susan’s warmth and kindness extended to her nieces, nephews, and their children.
Family and friends all felt her radiant presence, she was truly the light of every room she entered. She was always willing to give to those in need, even when she did not have for herself. She deeply valued gathering with family and friends, spreading laughter and love wherever she went.
Her sudden passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her memory and the love she shared will remain eternal.
A celebration of Susan’s extraordinary life will be held November 30th with church service at St. Raphael Church located at 525 Dover Center Rd. Bay Village, OH 44140. There will be a Greeting Line from 9:30-10:30 with Mass to follow and Memorial Gathering at Cove Community Center located at 12525 Lake Avenue Lakewood OH, 44107.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to American Heart Association, honoring Susan’s generous and loving spirit.
Rest in peace, Susan. Your light and love will forever shine in our hearts.
