Susan's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Cason, a beloved matriarch who brightened our lives with her vivacious personality and generous heart. Susan was born on the 12th of August, 1941, and she departed from this life on the 20th of April, 2025.

Susan is survived by her grandsons, David, John, and Josh Cason, who were the apple of her eye. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank Cason, who will now welcome her with open arms in eternity. Susan's family and her unwavering love for them were her beacon of light and source of unmatched joy.

She was a dedicated member of the Belton Methodist Church, where she practiced her faith with conviction and grace. Her resolve to make a positive impact was further evidenced by her selfless commitment as a volunteer at Teachers Supporting Teachers, a remarkable service organization that emanated her love for education.

Susan's idea of a perfect getaway was a visit to the sunny Kissimmee, Florida; a place she held close to her heart. Locally, she relished her time spent at Skin's Hot Dogs, a testament to her love for simple pleasures. Susan, a true patriot of public service, involved herself with Teachers 4 America. Her favorite pastime was watching Grey's Anatomy and enjoying movies with her grandchildren, moments she cherished incredibly.

Described by those who loved her as bubbly, incredibly happy, and always fun to be around, Susan's personality was infectious. Her spunk and spirit brought joy to everyone she encountered. One of her greatest achievements was her commendable 40-year long journey in South Carolina's public education system, a testament to her unyielding dedication to fostering growth and knowledge.

Susan leaves behind a rich legacy of generosity and a profound love for learning. Her life was a living embodiment of these virtues and will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. While she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the lessons she taught, the love she shared, and the smiles she inspired. Rest in peace, Susan. You will be eternally missed.
