On Saturday, December 27th, 2025, Susan Campbell Allen went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 80 years old. She was in her Texas home, surrounded by family.  

Susan was born in New York, New York to Ed and Sara Campbell, and grew up in Virginia. She was the 2nd of 11 children, with five brothers and five sisters, whom she loved with all her heart. 

She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Springfield, VA in 1964. She then went on to attend Immaculata College in Washington DC for three semesters. In 1965 she met Pat Allen, whom she would later marry in October 1966.

Susan was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had four children with Pat, who went on to bring them 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren (with two more due in June 2026!)

Susan was known for her hospitality, selflessness, and profound love for the Lord. She was kind, extremely smart, loved cooking and baking, and always put a smile on the faces of those around her.

In 2022, Susan was officially diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). The disease caused severe progressive problems with her movement, balance, speech and swallowing.  In the remaining years after her diagnosis, Pat provided all of her care and devotedly attended to all of her needs. 

Susan’s life was marked by a deep devotion to the Lord, touching the lives of many.  She lived a life of quiet, amazing strength, along with a kind soul that gave without expectation, and a patient heart that loved without limit. 

She will be greatly missed by all who love her.
