Sunni "Mini" Boyd, affectionately known as "Mini", passed away on September 14, 2025. Born on March 11, 1973, Sunni was a woman of vibrant personality with a wit and humor that touched everyone who knew her. Her spirit was bright and bubbly, and she had an infectious laughter that could light up any room.

Sunni is survived by her loving husband, Landon Boyd, and her devoted children; her step-sons, Dequan and Kahlil Boyd, her daughter, Ashley Blackwell Smith, son-in-law, Terry Smith, and her treasured grandchildren, Jackson and Amani Smith. Sunni also leaves behind her dear sister, Tonya Blackwell. She was predeceased by her father, James Blackwell.

Sunni held a profound philosophy in life, encouraging those around her to "Plan for tomorrow, but live for today." She lived by these words and shared this wisdom with her family and friends. Sunni's unswerving commitment to her beliefs led her on multiple missionary retreats to Africa, which remain one of her greatest accomplishments.

A memorial service in honor of Sunni will be held on September 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Marcus D Brown Funeral Home, located at 1212 S Main St. Those who knew Sunni will fondly remember her as a woman of incredible resilience, joy, and love. Her memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who loved her.
