A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped us put together and host the memorial and to those who were able to attend in person and virtually. We appreciate all of the kind words shared today and through this memorial website. We know that his memory will live through all of us.

Sun Yow (Morris) Hwang passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the age of 72 due to a traumatic brain injury he sustained in a fall.

He was born the second youngest of five children, in Shantou, a coastal city in the Guangdong province of China. At the age of 26 he left China and stayed in Hong Kong for 2 years before coming to Canada in 1976.
